After working on the concept design of Pepper’s first ever retail stores, the first to open is their flagship - a space that creates an entirely new experience for the sexual wellness industry. Reimagining a retail experience for a traditionally taboo category was invigorating and fun for the entire project team.
A clear and modern brand statement of bold shapes in neutral colors lets Pepper’s product offering steal the show. The store is divided between an all ages area, an adults only “spicy side,” and a VIP room for events.
Dramatic and playful moves transition guests from one space to the other. A twelve foot tall custom fabricated scrim video wall shows the brand’s content and leads customers to the spicy side of the store, which features the signature Touch Bar experience. A hidden door opens up to a surprise hallway to the VIP room, now fondly referred to as the foreplay corridor.
